Andy and Barney help weary, foot sore salesman Bert Miller set up his goods on a vacant lot.
Summary
Edit
Traveling salesman, Bert Miller, is getting tired of traveling. So partially to help Bert and partially to irritate Ben Weaver, the local department store owner, Andy and Barney concoct to help Bert set up a small general goods shop on a vacant lot. With every complaint Ben gives, Andy and Barney help Bert to step it up and compete with Ben. Eventually having enough, Ben gives in and offers a high paying job to Bert.

- Children of all ages might recognize Bert Miller's unique, high, raspy voice. Sterling Holloway, who played Bert in this episode, is most famous for being the voice of Disney's beloved Winnie the Pooh.
- For the second episode in a row we say goodbye to a series regular. Will Wright passed away just a few months after this episode aired. The irascible character of Ben Weaver made one more appearance, however. In Season 4, Tol Avery played Ben Weaver in The Shoplifters.
- Andy sings "The Crawdad Song". Andy and Barney both sing "Spread a Little Sunshine Every Day".
