Every 6 months the USMC Platoon with the worst record gets the Lead Boot award...a lead covered USMC Boot on a wooden plaque. Thanks to Gomer Pyle the platoon has won the award twice! Trying to clean the trophy, Pyle gets his foot stuck in it; then Carter and Hacker get their feet stuck in it as well....

Carter has to enlist the entire platoon to get the boot off Pyles foot...when it comes off half the platoon goes out the back door and half the platoon goes out the front door! The Booty Prize is not made up-it is actually awarded as stated...
Goofs Carter orders Gomer to "polish" the leaden boot, but in fact lead will not take a polish.[]
