Seaman Jacobs (February 25, 1912 - April 8, 2008) co-wrote (with Michael Morris) seven episodes of The Andy Griffith Show. He also wrote episodes of the TV series "The Ed Wynn Show", "The Donna Reed Show", "Bachelor Father", "My Favorite Martian", "Petticoat Junction", "The Addams Family", "My Three Sons", "F Troop", "The Lucy Show", "I Dream of Jeannie", "The Red Skelton Show", "The Doris Day Show", "Family Affair", "Here's Lucy", "Maude", "Chico and the Man", "What's Happening!", "Alice", "Diff'rent Strokes", "The Jeffersons" and "The Love Boat". He was nominated for an Emmy award for the TV special "The George Burns One-Man Show". He also co-wrote the screenplay for the Elvis Presley film It Happened at the World's Fair.
