Rob Reiner (born March 6, 1947), appeared in episodes of The Andy Griffith Show and Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C. The son of noted comedian, writer and director Carl Reiner, he played the recurring role of Michael "Meathead" Stivic on the TV series "All in the Family", for which he won two of five Emmy Award nominations. He also co-wrote the first episode of "Happy Days" (starring Ron Howard). He has directed (and appeared in many of) the films This Is Spinal Tap, The Sure Thing, Stand by Me, The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally..., Misery, A Few Good Men (for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture), North, The American President, Ghosts of Mississippi, The Story of Us, Alex & Emma, Rumor Has It..., The Bucket List, Flipped, The Magic of Belle Isle, And So It Goes, Being Charlie and LBJ.
He has also appeared in the films Enter Laughing, The Big Mouth, Where's Poppa?, Summertree, Fire Sale, The Jerk, Throw Momma from the Train, Postcards from the Edge, Sleepless in Seattle, Bullets over Broadway, Mixed Nuts, Bye Bye Love, For Better or Worse, The First Wives Club, Mad Dog Time, Primary Colors, EdTV (directed by Ron Howard), The Muse, The Majestic, Everyone's Hero, The Wolf of Wall Street and Sandy Wexler.
