Jack Albertson (June 16, 1907 - November 25, 1981), the brother of actress Mabel Albertson, appeared in one episode of The Andy Griffith Show.

He was nominated for five Emmy Awards, winning one for his performance as Ed Brown on "Chico and the Man". He also played Paul Fenton on "Mister Ed". Jack Albertson won an Oscar for his performance in the film The Subject was Roses. He was also in the classic films, Miracle on 34th Street, Days of Wine and Roses, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, The Poseidon Adventure, and the Disney films The Shaggy Dog, Son of Flubber, A Tiger Walks and The Fox and the Hound as the hunter Amos Slade. He was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
