• Burt Mustin is called Burt a few times during the episode. The cast credits list him as "Jud".
• In the scene where Andy visits Howard at home, Howard is sick and wearing a red bathrobe with white and black pattern on it. This is the same bathrobe Goober will wear in the series Mayberry R.F.D., Season 2, episode Millie and the Palm Springs Golf Pro.
