Cousin Alice with Sam Jones
Alice Cooper is the housekeeper hired by her cousin Sam Jones to replace Aunt Bee. She is played by actress Alice Ghostley in third season episodes of Mayberry R.F.D.
In 1975 on "Dinah!", rock singer Alice Cooper claimed to have taken the character name from "Mayberry R.F.D." Although, this was likely a joke, since Alice Cooper's first album release was in 1969 and actress Alice Ghostley first portrayed the character of Alice Cooper in 1970.
