Dallas McKennon (July 19, 1919 - July 14, 2009) appeared in one episode of The Andy Griffith Show. He provided character voices for a variety of cartoon series throughout his career. For Walter Lantz Productions, he was the voice of both Buzz Buzzard and Wally Walrus, the two main nemeses of Woody Woodpecker. Later he was the voice of Lantz's Inspector Willoughby. His voice can be heard in two Oscar-nominated Lantz shorts directed by Tex Avery, Crazy Mixed-Up Pup and The Legend of Rockabye Point. On TV, he was the voice of Gumby on Art Clokey's "The Gumby Show" and Archie Andrews on Filmation's "The Archie Show".

McKennon appears as the voice of animated characters in the feature films Lady and the Tramp, Tom Thumb, Sleeping Beauty, One Hundred and One Dalmatians, Mary Poppins, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Journey Back to Oz, The Adventures of Mark Twain and The Puppetoon Movie (as Gumby). His many onscreen appearances include Bend of the River, Good Day for a Hanging, The Tingler, The Wheeler Dealers, 7 Faces of Dr. Lao, Clambake, and the Disney films Son of Flubber, The Misadventures of Merlin Jones, The Cat from Outer Space and Hot Lead and Cold Feet (with Don Knotts). He also played the recurring role of Cincinnatus on the TV series "Daniel Boone".
