Charlie Ruggles

Charles Ruggles (February 8, 1886 - December 23, 1970) appeared in one episode of The Andy Griffith Show. He played the recurring role of Lowell Redlings Farquhar on the TV series "The Beverly Hillbillies" and was the voice of Aesop on Jay Ward's "Rocky and Bullwinkle". His film appearances include Charley's Aunt, One Hour with You, Love Me Tonight, Trouble in Paradise, Madame Butterfly, Alice in Wonderland, Ruggles of Red Gap, The Big Broadcast of 1936, Anything Goes, Bringing Up Baby, Balalaika, The Invisible Woman, The Perfect Marriage, It Happened on Fifth Avenue, Look for the Silver Lining, The Pleasure of His Company and Papa's Delicate Condition. He was also in the Disney films The Parent Trap, Son of Flubber, The Ugly Dachshund and Follow Me Boys! and provided the voice of Ben Franklin in Disney's animated short Ben and Me. He was awarded two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
