Camp Henderson

Camp Henderson was a Marine Corps training base in California. Although he had been ingested into the Marines at North Carolina's Camp Wilson, Gomer Pyle spent most of his military career based at Henderson. Therefore, Henderson served as the main location for the Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C. series.
